Paul W did a fine job. I didn't even realize it was actually the President at first. Quite a interview for a local radio show.

i wonder if the president realizes that 5 days a week Paul W. makes snide sarcastic comments about the guy multiple times a day. I wonder if he knows these snide sarcastic comments often sprinkled with half truth and misinformed non-truths will escalate exponentially as we approach the election?

Oh, I'm sure of it.

Did you forget the saying of some politicians "Keep repeating the lie until it becomes the truth"?  :o

I don't hear many snide comments about anyone from Paul W. and I listen regularly. Beckmann certainly makes such comments but that's a different show. Paul W. is very gentlemanly, sometimes to a fault.

Could you provide an example of such a comment from Paul W.?

do you listen between 5:45 AND 6:20-6:30? Most of his smarmy comments come in the first 30-40 minutes of his show. They are often very subtle and as much in the tone of voice as what is actually said. And he is often careful to word it so he could dodge an accusation. But can i give you a specific example? On such and such a date at such and such a time he said......xyz, no i can't. I don't write these things down. But i got tired enough of hearing them that I have pretty much stopped listening, within the last couple months. For years i listened to most of his show 5 days a week. Now I rarely ever tune in at all.

Okay, I was not trying to pin you down, I just honestly never picked up on that from him but admittedly, I don't often listen in the timeframes you listed so that may be why.

I would hazard a guess that in a election year, any station/host that's even close to being respectable is the friend of all the candidates. Gotta get that message out - even if you don't always agree with the commentary of lean of a station.

Paul W handled that interview very well - but that's not surprising, he's a solid broadcaster that has done remarkably well considering he replaced a legend. Just ask Rick Rizz and Bob Rathbun what's that like on WJR.

I can't argue with that. I have mostly ceased to listen but I recognize his "talent". And at its core the "talent" is an inability to shut ones mouth. Its the "talent" every radio host who solo's a talk show has. Dead air is a mortal sin in the business. Clearly the incessant ramble has to hold the interest of listeners to be successful. I guess the P.W ramble has ceased to hold my interest for the most part. He still has access to the legendary JP "Rolodex" which is why i occasionally do tune in.

Flashback to 1995....I was so disappointed when they didn't keep Jimmy Barrett. I thought he was terrific. Jimmy has been on WRVA in Virginia for years, he's doing really well. He just signed a new contract with them.
