WADL News at 9 also on Antenna TV 38.2... Why?

Is anybody else here irritated that WADL has started to simulcast their newscasts on both 38.1 and 38.2, thus taking over Antenna TV programming as well? Inquiries to the station about the matter only result in "thanks for the feedback", but it is interesting to note that they seemed to leave 38.3, The Word, alone and do not simulcast the news there, so why do it on 38.2??

So far I've noticed the simulcast at 9pm and 12am every weeknight. Antenna TV viewers miss the first half hour of All In The Family and Three's Company, and on Fridays, Too Close For Comfort. This issue even resulted in WADL interrupting the Valentine's Day lineup of movies on 38.2 that evening, so that viewers were left missing the first half hour of the 9pm movie, and a middle half hour of the 11pm movie. I expressed my displeasure with WADL, but I'm just curious what others think about this?

As a programming decision, that makes very little sense and I can totally understand your frustration! It's now like 38.1 and 38.2 cover different regions - obviously it's all the same station. Hopefully it's a technical snafu that they can correct asap. I'll check it out this evening now that you've mentioned it, then jump on the bandwagon of letting them know it's not a good choice.

Seems like a boneheaded move and I don't get it either. WADL has said it's looking into this on their Facebook page. Maybe they need to clear something up in their contract with INN.

That said, I think the WADL newscast is reasonably well done. I've been tuning in regularly.
