Great pics. I know it's a tough job you do, but you're experiencing things most of us can only dream about

A completely unnecessary sign.

There's no damned way I'm going to feed or molest an alligator

And I'd guess your equally as unlikely to go swimming where alligators live.

Neat pictures Kurly! :like:

I spent the day in Bowling Green today. A nice little college town. We went to the city park, and saw a pick up roller hockey game being played.

Image

We ate a restaurant with an unusual menu.

Image

Took a walk and saw an historic old bank building, which is sadly empty now.

And I used the bathroom at an area gas station. Boy, you just never know what you're going to find....

that old (and i might add, a beautiful building) would make a great base camp for a gonzo radio station. im too old, but get some of those university students away from alcohol and you might have something. wait a tic........give them alcohol, weed, x , etc.....you might have something.

it was -56c with the windchill on friday. -32c with 40km/h winds = cold.
we were only allowed to work outside for 30 min and then a 30 min warm up and then back at 'er again.

we own florida, but when it screws up, we go back home.

My wife worked third shift last night, I felt bad for her so I grabbed the kids today and drove away to a nearby city, where we hit 3 playgrounds and a Burger King, and took a long walk. A nice day indeed, after a little sprinkle.

We also walked by a dead bird.

A cold, grey dreary day here today. Wish I was still in Florida.Went for a long walk and ended up at a park I haven't been to in a long while. It a kind of unofficial, off-leash, dog park. When we had our dog, she loved going there. Today I had the park mostly to myself.

My old DX 370. I've had it almost 20 years. It's been a good radio. It still is a good radio. But it's showing its age.

Mechanical fatigue is taking its toll. Things are wearing out and breaking off. Last week one of the contact springs in the battery compartment broke off. I could still use it with the AC adaptor but I wanted the convenience of battery power. In a surplus store today I found a battery holder. I took it home and threaded the leads into the case and soldered them to the board. Then I mounted it outboard on the back of the radio. Works as good as new. It also serves another function. Last year, the little flap on the back of the radio that folds out to prop up the radio, broke off. Now, once again, I can have my radio tilted up when listening to it.

A great way to spend the evening, outside, with the kids playing, listening to the radio, about to crack open a new book.

He needed the armor to contain the toxic gas release that inevitably follows consumption of poutine at Harvey's.

Let me guess, you were at Tim's nearby.
