Oh, I'll just wear this one for very special occasions. I'll ask my wife to lay me out in it.

I know a place in Tennessee where I can get a Rolax watch for $10.

yea, even under my extreme protest, he monkeyed around in highschool and didnt take the right courses to go to university......so western is out of the question. he got accepted to fanshawe and lambton. he isnt sure what one he will pick. i guess he is waiting for me to get home to pull out a wad of cash and pay tuition.

im claiming the tuition on my tax, not his.

In the Publix supermarket today, a woman was blabbering away on her cell phone, loud enough to be heard all over the store. Just wandering up and down the aisles yakking and occasionally dropping something into her cart. At the rate she was going, it was going to take her all day, so I decided to help her out. While she was yammering away and not paying attention, I started dropping things into her cart for her. Canned oysters, toilet bowl cleaner, Ramen Noodles, ice cream, ---

How much does it cost to go to Fanshawe? I look at that as equivalent to a junior college. I understood that college was far more reasonable in Ontario than in Michigan.

Can't he continue his education closer to home, kurly?

We spend the weekend in Michigan. That meant 3.5 hours in the Jeep with the kids going up...and 3.5 hours in the Jeep going back.

I am now heading out the Jeep with a garbage bag to clean it up.

7k for either college for the course he is taking (without books). im kind of thinking that if he spent a semester away, he would appreciate how easy he has it at home.

I had no idea there was a company that offerred 'call-center' coverage here in Lake Orion. They must be off M24, near the Palace...

Good weekend all the way around. Celebrated another birthday lunch for our daughter, this time with my Wife's dad and his wife and I enjoyed two GREAT Red Wings hockey games and last night watched Michigan smack Ohio State in basketball. I could have used a little more sleep but that's ok.

;)

It's amazing how much gunk it will catch in a week. I only put it horizontal, tuck it in a bit.

Best part, shake it out, throw in wash...works good.

From radio or Little Caesars?

PhMSU, it's like Aspen marketing just north of Brown Rd. on the west side. Across from the new Culver's.

From radio. He was a specs grad. We worked together for 2 years. A real nice guy. He had heart problems for a long time. He made work a blast though.

Yeah it is, but for what its worth, he'll be remembered fondly by all who knew him. The guy was a blast and made me laugh nonstop for 2 years. Can't say enough about him.

Well this was a busy weekend. Probably the highlight was getting to a judge for the Local American Legion's Oratorical contest. Great kids, who really tried. The way it works is they prepare an 8-10 Oration that pertains to the Constitution of the United States. On this.....they all did well. What gets hard is that they are then given an assigned topic and they get 10 minutes to prepare a 3-5 oration on their assigned topic. This year they got the part of the constitution that allows for writ of Habeas Corpus.

That part of the Competition quickly separates the candidates because its all about thinking quickly and staying cool and above all.........knowing the constitution. The winner goes on to state and the state winner goes to national, and the national winner gets about $20,000 for college so by all means, if you know a kid fishing for College Money, this is a good thing to try. You have nothing to lose and it really improves their confidence and public speaking skills.

Lost my glasses today. The last place I remembered having them was at the Supermarket. Went back there tonight to check with the Lost and Found, but they weren't there. So on the way back home I stopped at the Dollar Store and bought some reading glasses.

Turkette found my missing glasses just now. They were in the refrigerator, inside a bag of food from the supermarket.

Your eyes must be pretty good, if you only need reading glasses.

Is it just me or are there like A LOT of Now Hiring signs out on the side of the road. Driving down Mound last week I must have seen 10 of them. Sure they're shit jobs, but engineering and accounting and HR consultancy firms don't hang a Now Hiring banner of a building. From what I remember back when I was a kid working in fast food they don't ramp up summer hiring until mid-May. At my wife's work they're increasing the size of her department by something like 40%. She even got a raise and a promotion! Anyone else seeing positive stuff like this?
